Deposit system

How to register your bottle:

• When you buy a BeneGas Light bottle, you will receive a registration leaflet with a unique registration code at the sales point.
• You can register your purchase of the BeneGas Light bottle online using this code.
• Immediately after registration, the digital proof of deposit will be sent to the mail address you provided.
• When you hand in the bottle after you have finished using it, take the printed proof of deposit and purchase receipt with you.
• We can only guarantee that your deposit will be returned if the bottle is handed in to an official BeneGas Light sales point. You will find the official BeneGas Light sales points in the Bottle finder.
• The sales point will stamp both the top and bottom section of the proof of deposit, indicate the date it was returned and add the employee’s name and signature.
• You can then send the top part of the proof of deposit with the proof of purchase to Benegas B.V., Postbus 34, 3880 AA Putten. Keep the bottom part as proof that you have returned the bottle.
• Within 2 weeks of receiving the stamped, signed proof of deposit with the purchase receipt, Benegas will refund the deposit to your bank account. Note: you must include the complete IBAN account number.

Rules

• A registration leaflet with unique code will be provided for each bottle you buy. You must use a separate unique code for each bottle.
• When you exchange an empty bottle for a full one (or change sizes), you do not need to bring the proof of deposit. The proof of deposit will remain valid regardless of how long you use the bottle. When you exchange bottles, you will only be charged for the contents.
• The deposit will not be returned if the bottle is seriously damaged. When you return a bottle that is badly damaged (for exchange or otherwise), it will be removed from circulation and the proof of deposit will be kept. A new deposit will have to be paid for a new full bottle. A new registration leaflet with a new registration code will be provided to register the new bottle.
• Deposits for bottles that have changed hands (e.g. as a gift, or as part of the sale of a caravan) will only be eligible if proof of deposit, proof of purchase and a written statement by the original registrar is submitted.

Non-digital proof of deposit

• The printed version of the proof of deposit, as provided before 1 February 2010, will remain valid.
• This proof of deposit will also be stamped by the sales point at the end of use.
• Check if the correct IBAN account number is on the proof of deposit before sending it to Benegas.
• After a check, the deposit will be refunded by Benegas.
• Proofs of deposit that were provided under the name BP Gas Nederland will remain valid and Benegas will take care of refunding the deposit.
• A BeneGas Light 10 kg user with a €75 proof of deposit retains the right to refund of the full deposit amount. This amount is shown as such on the proof of deposit.
• A BeneGas Light 5 kg user with a €75 proof of deposit will always receive €55. Further depreciation under the “old” system no longer applies.

Exceptions

Bottles that have been obtained abroad in exchange for BP Gas Light bottles purchased in the Netherlands:

• These will no longer be exchanged for a BeneGas Light.
• No deposit will be refunded when you end use of the bottle.

The deposit for bottles that were bought abroad with a foreign proof of deposit cannot be refunded in the Netherlands. To claim the deposit, these bottles must be returned to the country where they were purchased.
